A former country musician in Nashville, Tennessee, I uprooted my live in April 2022 to volunteer in Ukraine. What I thought would be a week long volunteer stint has turned into a going-on nearly 2 years’ journey through the far eastern reaches of Ukraine. Each day I visit new small towns and villages along Ukraine’s front line where I have the privledge of hearing unique and often times complicated perspectives of the war from those living inside of it.
